Spalted sycamore coffee table

I designed and made this table for my own living room, I decided to make a pair of them, one to sell and one to keep. I am very please how they turned out. They are made from spalted sycamore and oak legs. Spalting is the dark black lines through the grain, that gives a really cool effect on the wood. It comes from a wood that is starting to decay but is not rotten yet, its a period where the wood is still structurally sound but is in the process of decaying. The whole table was sanded to a high grit then finished with Tung oil to really bring out the grain and add a layer of protection.
